I have been cutting this weekend, I am not a huge fan of cutting kits, I love every other part of stamp a stacks or stamp camps EXCEPT cutting. Here is my latest:
Isn't it pretty? Oh my how I love this set! I have made so many styles of cards with it, I swear it is the most versatile set I have worked with in a very long time. I didn't think I wanted it, because hey...it just isn't my style. BOY was I ever wrong! It IS my style, and then some! Simplicity is what stamp a stacks are all about. This set is perfect for that. I am so happy with this card and I am sure my girls will be too.
It was another beautiful and busy weekend. Saturday Rob and I took our "Sunday Drive" lol. I forgot my camera, I was bummin' and there were so many missed photo ops. I told Rob we would just need to repeat the entire day again. He had no problem with that. Maybe in a couple of weeks we will do it again. We drove up 169 again, past Brooklyn this time. We went to the Vanilla Bean Cafe. Out of this world food. The Vanilla Bean Café opened in 1989, they seat 90 inside and 40 outside! It is by far my absolute FAVORITE place for lunch. I got one of the specials that day, Vegetable Pesto Quiche, served with house salad and fruit. Rob got a beef/bean and vegetable burrito with fresh salsa. We always get glass bottles of soda with the old fashion caps on them. I can't help it, I think they taste better~ Their food is so fresh, I can't wait to go back. I love living in the Quiet Corner of Connecticut. After all of that food we walked across the street to Martha's Herbary. Check out the site and you will know why I love it! Unique gifts, beautiful garden, and so many things that are just "SO ME"! I could LIVE there. From the bird house fence when you enter the driveway to the front door there are so many things to look at. Once inside I want to see every little thing. Of course "no dogs" are allowed at Martha's (we ate out side at the Bean and Jake sat with us, there is a local dog that visits and no one seems to mind.) So I couldn't shop forever, the "boys" were waiting for me. We stopped for a walk at the CT Audubon Society's nature trail, Jake was in all his glory strutting his stuff and sniffing everything in every direction. There were the most amazing birds, I could have gotten some awesome photos. I saw more tad poles than I had ever seen before, the water was black with them! Speaking of black I saw dragonflies with black wings and metallic purple/blue bodies....breathtaking. When I came home I felt so happy. What a great day, and a fun and warm weekend. Ahhhhhhhhhh. I hope you enjoyed your weekend too!
