So much has happened in the last couple of weeks. We fit in a camping trip, complete with tent and sleeping bags, we rough it.
Jillian brought her best friend Nicole, and the girls really enjoyed the kayak (thanks to aunt Cathy!) and the sun, as well as bikes, hikes and good snacks ... with meals cooked over a camp fire. We played "Phase 10" and it was lots of fun, we are thinking of starting a Stevenson family game night and taking turns going to all the siblings houses. It should be fun!
We did a bit of school shopping last week, always an adventure, and I had to fill in at work on Saturday. When I came home I found my dog had undergone a makeover....my husband took the clippers to him! I haven't had the heart to take a picture of him yet, trust me, he doesn't look much like my Jake! I wanted to cry! At least he is a lot cooler, and isn't shedding as much.
My dad ended up back in the hospital with congestive heart failure again. He is doing better but they want to put a defibrillator in him. I didn't Even know they could do such a thing, I have heard of pace makers but never a defibrillator! Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
On a brighter note we are expecting a visit from Alicia and my sweet nephew Wesley! I can't wait to see them, and I am not going to be very good about sharing when it comes to cuddles and kisses with Wesley, I will have to warn everyone that I am not going to share ... I am going to be greedy and hog him! LOL
I am working on a sweet project and some cards for stamp camp. Speaking of sweet, I am looking forward to an easy start of high school for my Jilly girl,(praying for it!) 11 years in the same school (pre-school at 3 and 4, kindergarten at 5 and then 1st through 8th grade) is a long time. To go from that to a highschool in a different town that is as big as a college campus is somewhat of a culture shock. We went for a tour of the school and Jilly met her homeroom teacher, and found her classes. I know she will do great! She got her hair cut last week too. Maybe I will post a picture of her and Jake. She looks fabulous! Okay, she looks 16 instead of 14 but still such a beautiful girl. Her teacher noticed she has two different colored eyes. I like her teacher, she actually LOOKED at Jill when she spoke with her, and noticed her eyes...because she was paying attention. That is a good start don't you think?
I am placing an order on September 1st, if you would like me to add something for you just email me and I would be happy to. It will arrive on time for Stamp Camp and I would love for you to join my happy group of stampin' ladies! Just be ready to laugh, we always have such a good time.
I hope to have some results to show you for my latest works of heART. Chat with you soon!
