Okay, so my post a day dream went out the window when I started having problems with my typepad again. I can't begin to tell you how depressing it is when you yack on and on, posting picture after picture...spell check it, read it over, love it and hit publish...but nothing happens. So I make sure it is on publish now, and click again.....nothing. So I change it to draft....hit save. Nothing. I have no clue what to do....so I close the window. Usually when you do that and you go back in to compose it will say "you have a post saved from 2 minutes ago, would you like to edit it now? If you click YES then it will come back up and you can post it. NOT THIS TIME: I don't know where in cyber space my post is but it will never be seen again! LOL
So I will try this again. This time I am going to cut and paste this in an email, to save it in case anything goes wrong. I so wish I would have thought of that the first, or second, or third time I wrote this post. UGH.
On with the show and tell. Sometimes I get an idea for a card I want to make and it is so very perfect in my head, but it just doesn't work on paper. This was one of those cards. In my head was this awesome cupboard filled with cups and drawers and a teapot. Here was my first attempt, it came out pretty great....even if it did take me about 8 hours to figure it out and make this one card.
I was So happy with the outside, even though it was very plain! The trouble with this card is it was too hard to make, and there was no way I could use this idea as a stamp camp card. A class card would be fine, because you take longer working on the techniques you are learning. I didn't think Stamp Campers would have been very happy if they had to spend a ton of time on one of their cards.
Here it is almost open:
I started to worry that it was too hard, and I knew it was taking way too long to put it together when I made the third one. So I tried it this way:
Cute, but I think it is too dark. Worried it was "dirty" looking. I wanted it bright and girlie. So here is the final, Quick, CUTE, light, sweet, and oh so original card that we made at stamp camp:
I am so glad I stuck with it because I absolutely LOVE the way it came out. I think if you click on this picture you will be able to see a close up of how great the smooch paint worked with this card. So if there is a card in your head, and it isn't coming out right, just keep at it. Put it aside for a while and come back to it. Don't give up. I am trying this post again, haven't given up yet. Wish me luck!
