I had the opportunity again to be involved in a group effort to give thank you cards to a friend who has had a loss in their family. Such a sad time, and if you are fortunate enough to have caring people in your life that want to help you ... then you end up finding yourself needing thank you cards. The last thing I would think a person would be feeling at a time of such great loss would be "creative". The group I am in is a great one, and my upline is very thoughtful. We made this box for a fellow member and friend this Monday:
When someone in my family saw it they said "when would you ever need that many thank you cards"....I thought about it and said "most of the time, I don't think I could ever have enough." Don't you find that true? I was thinking of all the people I owe a thank you to. Some are so past due. Most of them don't even realize they should be getting one, because they are so kind and thoughtful by nature that it doesn't even occur to them that what they did meant the world to me. I am blessed to have such good friends, neighbors, and stamping buddies I would love to adopt because they seem like family to me. Small gestures like baked goods on your break, a hug in the grocery store, a huge smile and a wave in a crowded office, a caring hand on your shoulder...sending a thank you card. These are things that are so appreciated, and I am glad I am able to be a part of giving, and also helping other people give that special feeling of support and appreciation. Make someone a card today, it will not only make their day, but it just might make your day too!
