Are you ready for stamp camp this Saturday? Well I will be after today, I hope! LOL
So much has been happening at the Stevenson house. We have officially put our home on the market, and although that is exciting it is also a huge amount of work. I have been weeding through 24 years of our stuff trying to decide what to keep, what to give away, and what to toss. I know my husband wants to have a mound of trash out for spring clean up...but I don't think that would look very attractive. He sold his truck so no way to the dump. I am getting creative and checking out organizations that will come pick up your "junk" for you. Hard to believe I have stored as much as I have in this house...but believe me, I have kept too much.
This is the room I will miss the most:
I bet you thought it would be my stamping room! Well...I love all of my treasures in the stamping room, and they are all coming with me and can be set up the same. I can't take this room with me, and this is the room in my house I love the most. So many family dinners, holiday meals and birthday parties have taken place in this room. I love sitting listening to the waterfall, watching the mama duck with her babies on the pond, letting the sunshine warm me as I sip tea in the morning. This room over looks the back yard and the pond/waterfall/brook where my children have played and fished, searched for fresh water muscles, salamanders, and frogs and gone on paddle boat rides. They have spent many summer nights around the fire pit roasting marshmallows and camping out in this yard. I have spent lots of time in this room. I love having my card classes in here, it is just so open and airy. The light green walls and light blue ceiling kind of blend in with the trees and the sky, it is a very comforting feeling to be sitting here looking out at the trees and the water. Sigh....... Change...I have never been very good at handling it.
Some of my stamp camp friends found out we were selling our house and thought I was moving to Florida....there is no way I could ever leave my family and friends behind. We are just moving to the next town over. I will still be stamping myself silly and have all kinds of new and exciting plans for classes, camps and scrapbooking crops! Here is a card we will be making at this month's stamp camp...you can use whatever words you want on it to make it fit your occasion...but these words fit mine:
Guess who loves you? ME! So don't worry, I won't be going too far and I won't be leaving you at all. I will be working at my new job that I love, living in a new (very very old) house that I love, making new memories with the friends and family that I love, and stamping with the people that I love. What could be better than that?
