Well here are the Two snowflake ornaments I made today, that's it, just two. At this rate my table is going to be looking pretty empty! lol These were fun and easy to make. The snowflakes are so much thicker than I thought they would be, they are very nice! I will make more tomorrow, haven't added any glitter to these yet...not sure if I will, I like them this way. Hope you are having a good week. I will post again Tuesday night, hopefully with more than just two of the next item I will be making!

So what do you think? Very old fashion, monochromatic, not what appeals to most people I'm sure, but ooooh I love it! I can almost hear those old Christmas Carols as I look at it, you know the ones by Perry Como? (I think that was his name)It makes me think of an old fashion Christmas, and skating on frozen ponds, and warming up by a fire with hot cocoa. All that ... from this! LOL I had fun making this and I hope you follow the directions and make one too using your favorite set! Don't forget to bring it with you to stamp camp to share!
Okay, it is almost 2:30 and I just finished setting up for stamp camp. I have to get up at 6:30 to get myself, and my house ready, and get my daughter up at 7 because she is being picked up at 8. It's nights like these I find myself thinking I am part Owl. I am not tired. My muscles ache from all the hours on my feet today, but I am WIDE AWAKE! I saw an owl on Split Coast that was made out of a Big Shot die. It was very cute. I then saw an even more adorable owl made out of punches, I loved it! The big one was just the head, and a part of the chest, very cute. The little one was the entire adorable owl, but it was so small and hard to glue together because the pieces were so tiny. I wanted to use my big shot but that owl wasn't as cute...what is a girl to do when she wants it all, Tooo cute and Tooooo easy....well ... a girl adjusts. That is just what I did. I adjusted and made an entire owl using two big shot Dies and some punches, so it is big enough to be easy, and it is also ADORABLE, if I do say so myself. The owl lifts up and there is a birthday greeting underneath him, so he is like a card on the front of this gift bag! Sometimes I amaze myself! LOL Okay, I guess I must be tired, I am getting carried away with how empressed I think you should be. BUT JUST LOOK AT HIM!!! ( or her, entirely up to you)
Whoooo Could disagree with me? Every time I look at it I smile, I have even laughed out loud (LOL) a couple of times. Now if the Emply bag can make me this happy, imagine how happy the person Whoooooo is getting this bag will be when there is a present inside! We are making this at Stamp Camp tomorrow....Lucky stamping friends who are attending, you will be taking one home with you!

Welcome back! It was a wonderful holiday weekend for the Stevenson's ... I hope you enjoyed yours as well! Did you think I disappeared? Well I wasn't far, I was right here at home. Unfortunately I had to work every day this holiday weekend (Including Monday) and I made sure I spent time with my family as well. We went apple picking on Saturday after work, my parents, by brother and his whole family, and my family. It was such a beautiful day and the leaves were perfect this weekend here in the quiet corner of Connecticut. I went for a long Sunday drive with my hubby up 169 and around Canterbury, such a beautiful town. I also got some stamping in. That left me little time to surf the net or blog, but I promise I am making up for it over the next couple of days. Starting with my sign, what do you think? I have had lots of people interested in the home decor elements, but some are afraid to put them on their walls. I have a couple of hints for you. This is one way of "cheating". I bought this tin frame from the Christmas Tree Shop. It was 4.99. No kidding. I forgot to take a before picture, SORRY! But all I did was put designer paper down first and then rub the transfer right onto it. Taaa Dahhhh! Beautiful, in minutes! You can match it to your home decor...give it your own little personal touches. Keep going, add ribbon, paper embellishments, buttons, or keep it simple, it's all up to you! I also have another hint for you, but I haven't made one up yet, so it will have to Wait awhile. I also have some Christmas ideas, you will LOVE them. So check in, cause I am back!
I so love this paper, and this project is cool isn't it? Just imagine how great it will look with pictures in it!

I used my own measurements and made mine bigger so that larger photos could fit in it. The ones in that gallery hold trimmed down wallet size, mine hold regular photos..cropped. This isn't a stamp camp project, I can't tell you what I am making it for yet, it's a secret...and I am not sure who is following my blog, so I don't want to ruin the surprise...but I loved this and just had to share!

(Thanks for the photo Rose~) What do you think? This is the Upsy Daisy Box and Card kit...made with the Parisian Summer Designer Paper. Isn't it pretty?! I don't know which I love more, Parisian Summer or Bella Rose. They are both so different, this one is kind of Shabby Chic... A style that I would cover my entire house with if I had three girls and it was four of us/vs my husband! Ha ha ha! For the Upsy Daisy Class sample "Urban Garden" Designer paper was used. I wasn't sure I liked this paper at all when I saw it in the catalog, but when I saw it in person, wow...I was blown away.

I wanted to share a little story with you, it's kind of about how I got started with Stampin' Up! It is also about friends, the kind of friends you make when you become part of a Stampin' Up! Family. It is about fun, and food, and stamping, and laughing.
My friend Dianne (hey buddy!) and I have been friends since high school. She is the one that brought me to my first Stamp Camp at Jan's and the rest is history, I couldn't get enough and became a demonstrator. My Upline (Big hugs Jan!) is such a wonderful person, she has get togethers once a month for her downline. We share ideas, do make and takes, and laugh so much that I am surprised her husband doesn't designate our meeting night as his night out! I have one downline (Hi Rose!) and I am so glad that she gets to attend as well, she's a hoot and we always have fun when she is there. There are also other fun demonstrators that I get to have fun with, Ramona was there last night and we were fooling around and laughing in the kitchen while we were getting our snack...another thing we share...So what is this all leading up to? Well, I want to say "HI!" to my friend and sideline Laurie. If it weren't for Stampin' Up! and Jan, I would have never met Laurie...I am so glad I know her. She always has so much to share with us at the meetings, she ROCKS~ This candle and the note I am writting to you is replacing a very funny picture I took at Monday night's meeting! All I'll say is that Dianne is the very best chef I know, and can bake up some of the most awesome food and cakes ever. We enjoyed one of her fall favorites last night. This cake was beautiful and so moist it melted in your mouth. With it's caramel sauce and whip cream topping, ohhhh, it was so good...and we enjoyed it...right down to the very last crumb on our plates. I have the photo to prove it, but I promised not to post it on my blog! (((Love ya Laurie!) I love being a part of this group. Thanks ladies for such a fun night. Tomorrow I will post the beautiful box that I made while at Jans.
This is my chapstick purse! Don't you LOVE it! I came up with the idea of using my top note to make a cute little tote to hold a chapstick gift. This little thing is so easy to make, we made them at my stamp camp this weekend. Just run a piece of designer paper and cardstock through the bigshot with the top note die .... Fold cardstock in half and then fold 1/2" up from the fold. Make two slits from fold to fold...this is where your chapstick will be held. We use glue stick (not near the folds, just around the top and bottom edge of the designer paper.) and glue the end of the designer paper right up to the perforated edge of the cardstock, it worked great cause you could slide it around. Then I just punched holes through the front layer, put brads through ribbon as a handle, and held it closed with our stretchy gold string. I added the little flower with a glue dot to the gold strand. To open you just slide that little gold string off of the purse and it opens wide. Isn't it Adorable!
Oh My! I can't tell you how much I LOVE this! I was able to find the exact same jar that Stampin' Up! used as an example ... at Walmart for only $14! Until Halloween it will be our Candy Jar (and it is HUGE!) Afterwards this will be our cookie jar, I will peel off the spider and put on a Winter Home Decor Decorative Element!
